Supply Chain IT Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Supply Chain IT Business Systems Analyst to support and enhance our supply chain technology landscape in the fast-paced retail consumer food industry. This role will be a liaison between the S&OP business group and IT, providing cross functional support. The primary focus will be to transform business requirements into systemic solutions, ensure smooth data exchange, triage failures, perform detailed testing, perform system maintenance, user and data administration, optimizing systems and processes that manage MRP, MPS, and Production Scheduling. This role will also support other supply chain functions like Demand forecasting, Supply forecasting, Supplier collaboration, Inventory, Logistics, and Warehouse management to ensure product availability, freshness, and operational efficiency across our supply chain network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with supply chain, merchandising, and IT teams to define and enhance business processes.
- Partner with various business groups to gather and clearly document requirements for system enhancements and new projects.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff and relay information accurately.
- Creating and Maintaining user accounts, groups, and access security.
- Excellent analytical and Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
- Clear understanding of business processes, system configurations and expected functional and data outcome.
- Work directly with 3rd party vendor’s support Team to troubleshoot system interruptions, integrations and data issues, any system upgrades, testing and migrations.
- Analyze and improve all systems supporting S&OP processes with a focus on MRP, MPS and Production Scheduling.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement system upgrades, integrations, and data migrations.
- Effectively manage tickets to support internal and external applications for issues, enhancements and projects.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements.
- Design test cases, test scripts, and test data for functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems, especially in a best of breed environment.
- Partner with business and design dashboards and reports to provide visibility into supply chain KPIs.
- Conduct user training, create documentation, and provide ongoing support for supply chain applications.
- Stay informed on industry trends such as automation, AI in forecasting, and sustainability in the food industry.
- Experience with Installing and configuring Client Software is preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a business systems analyst role ideally within retail, grocery, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations in the food industry.
- Experience with ERP and supply chain systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, Syspro, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, or Manhattan Associates.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI) and integration technologies (e.g., EDI, APIs).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CBAP, or PMP.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and traceability requirements.
Knowledge of sustainability and waste reduction initiatives in food supply chains
