Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator will assist in the daily warehouse operations with responsibility for safety, quality, accurate pick, inventory, quality holds, location controls, and working with all departments to ensure steady flow of materials and orders.  The position will be a leader driving accuracy in picks, put aways, and removing obstacles to performance.   The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail oriented, fast learner who will be able to use information across the plant to align supply, demand, and inventory as well as assemble data and use analytical methods to help drive efficiencies.   

 

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Robust Inventory Management Program.
  • Use multiple Warehouse Management Systems to assist with job functions.
  • Assign inventory cycle counts and track accuracy on counts for all inventory items.
  • Ensure daily inventory accuracy for line take away, put away, item storage into the bin locations.
  • Create and maintain a robust location control system for finished goods, holds, samples, returns, and outbound loads.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Applications, and reports.
  • Manage on hold inventory for FIFO, rework, discard, or other dispositions.
  • Follow all Safety, SQF, GMP, and housekeeping rules and regulations.
  • Efficiently and safely operate fork truck in a potentially hazardous environment (wet, sloped floors, heavy pedestrian traffic).
  • Lead the Annual Audit Process in conjunction with the Warehouse Management team.
  • Effective communication with other departments.
  • Enable cross training for team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Producing product free of contamination
  • Following all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies
  • Reporting any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
  • Inspection of work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Language Skills 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.

Reasoning Ability 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
