SUMMARY
This role is an administrative assistant level position that supports our Buyers. The Purchasing Coordinator will work with the Purchasing Operations team and other cross functional business partners to secure goods (and services), while managing ongoing supplier relationships. The Purchasing Coordinator will also assist in managing warehouse inventories, reverse logistics, invoice discrepancies, and daily fulfillment to meet Plant requirements, as needed. All Ken’s Employees are accountable for creating and maintaining a culture of Safety and assuring a safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports fulfillment of daily Plant requirements by running/reviewing various reports, including but not limited to PO Confirmation, Exceptions, PO Late Delivery
- Confirms critical Purchase Orders within 24 hours, escalating to Operations Buyer with changes or concerns
- Coordinates/Follow-ups on all Collect/Backhaul loads with Logistics Department, as directed
- Tracks and expedites materials; communicating to Operations Buyer with any known material shortages
- Tracks and manages changes to orders and escalates to Operations Buyer/Plant, as needed
- Update price changes monthly/quarterly by the effective date for both the Master Data and any Open POs
- Support interplant material transfers; following up to ensure material transfers are executed as planned
- Make inventory adjustments, as directed/needed
