ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Leadership and Management:
o Promotes a culture of openness, flexibility, collaboration and accountability
o Supports project teams and other Project Managers/BSA’s
o Influences customers and stakeholders, and effectively manages divergent expectations
o Creates and maintains relationships across the organization
o Coordinates and resolves issues
o Manages the day-to-day activities of projects and project staff; continuously communicates with project teams and stakeholders
o Demonstrates leadership qualities including flexibility and adaptability to changes in roles and responsibility as required.

• Project Management:
o Manages project life cycle from initiation through deployment and project closure
o Works closely with Business Development, including but not limited to: Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Support, Sales, Procurement, R&D, Distribution and Engineering to create and execute project release plans that satisfy stakeholder needs
o Organizes, conducts, and attends meetings with project team to facilitate all levels of project planning including risk analysis
o Assists in the gathering, understanding and documentation of the customers’ business requirements to facilitate the generation of technical and cost model content for formal customer proposals
o Removes obstacles blocking or slowing down teams
o Provides visibility to team status and escalates issues to senior management, plans and tracks release milestones for software releases
o Helps facilitate and communicate risk analysis for projects
o Manages multiple projects at one time
o Provides detailed weekly status reports and metrics on all active projects to management
o Works with project managers of other teams (internal and external) to ensure overall business needs are being met for company initiatives
o Drives decisions, including difficult tradeoffs that may be needed between resources, schedule, and functionality
o Works with third party integration teams to coordinate integration and testing, where applicable
o Works with functional managers to support both dedicated and matrix resources
• Key participant in steering committee meetings, and technical, as well as, business dialogue. Develops positive and effective relationships with business users and IT group. Creates, manages and tracks project artifacts, including, but not limited to:
o Project schedules, including estimates versus actuals
o Detailed project plans
o Scope documents
o Cost estimates
o Resource plans
o Risk and Issues Logs
o Status reports
• Communicates and collaborates with internal and external customers as needed in regards to project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with stakeholders
• Makes recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation with input from team members
• Serves in Scrum Master role, as needed, to support Scrum software development methodology
• Process Monitoring and Control:
o Implements lessons learned
o Acts as resource for project team members on software development lifecycle processes
o Performs analysis of existing business processes, as well as, new business development processes.
o Works with technical development staff, project manager(s), production managers, and executive-level managers throughout all phases of a project life cycle to ensure customers’ requirements are understood and met, and to ensure proper documentation by team members in accordance with company standards
o Monitors project controls for regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA requirements for computer systems)
