Fork Truck Operator NV 2nd Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Operate forklift
- Properly handle product
- Use basic math
- Verify cases picked to match Bill of Lading
- Communicate all issues to management for improvements
- Other duties as assigned
FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ship product free of contamination
- Follow all Ken’s Foods Security and GMP policies
- Report any suspicious activities anywhere in or around the plant
- Inspect work area for any possible product contamination issues on a continuous basis
- Report any leaking or spilled product immediately
- Inspect all incoming and out going loads for sign’s of product contamination

Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization preferred.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Forklift Certification preferred; not required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee must regularly move in and out of a 42 degree storage area. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
