Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Manager

SUMMARY
The MES Manager will be responsible for overseeing the adoption/development/and support of Ken’s Foods Manufacturing Execution System. This person will be tasked with being a subject matter expert on all facets of the system and work to ensure adoption and best practices across the organization. They will act as the key liaison between the corporate and plant floor teams, the technical development team, and the senior management team. They will work to provide training and assistance with the MES system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the subject matter expert on all facets of the system
- Interface directly with personnel in all plants to gather requirements for Ignition enhancements, pain points, and training opportunities.
- Develop training materials and lead trainings on various functions of the system
- Coordinate rollouts of new features and functionality with corporate and plant personnel and communicate status and information to the associates
- Prioritize requests and requirements from corporate and the plants to align with upper management goals and objectives.
- Track any improvements/user interface changes/bug fixes/additional functionality/etc. to the system and communicate those changes to the organization.
- Manage feature requests for improvements and new functionality.
- Meet with stakeholders to provide information on the program and work with them to make decisions on the overall direction of the program.
- Work with the technical team to ensure all facets of the system work together as one cohesive system
- Interface with the technical team to provide them with the prioritized requirements and feature requests
- Work with the technical team to beta test new features and functionality and provide feedback
- Interface with corporate and plant management to help them maximize the capabilities of the system helping to lead for process and productivity improvements.
- Coach and mentor manufacturing Managers and Leaders to ensure their continued development in the adoption of new technologies
- Role requires 15-20% travel to Facilities (IN.GA, MA & NV)

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems is a requirement.
- Familiarity with ISA88 batch, OEE concepts, SPC control concepts, databases, and reporting systems are a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and disciplines
Education and/or Experience
4-year degree in an applicable discipline or applicable experience. 2+ years of experience working in manufacturing in a continuous improvement, maintenance, operations, engineering, or applicable role. Project management experience is a plus.
The main platform utilized by Ken’s MES is Ignition by Inductive Automation. Familiarity with this platform is advantageous. Prior experience with MES products from Aveva, Rockwell, or another SCADA vendor is also advantageous.
