Ken’s Foods is looking for an experienced wastewater treatment professional to help keep a critical part of our Marlborough operation running safely, efficiently, and responsibly. As a Wastewater Treatment Operator, you will combine technical knowledge, mechanical problem-solving, and careful monitoring to support environmental compliance and reliable plant performance. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, responding to challenges, and seeing the direct impact of their work. $38.00-$48.47 per hour.
What You’ll Do
- Operate and maintain the wastewater treatment plant and related systems to support safe, reliable, and compliant operations.
- Collect samples, perform water testing, maintain accurate daily records, and support required inspections and audits.
- Troubleshoot equipment and complete minor repairs to pumps, valves, instruments, and other plant components.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, prepare work orders, monitor repairs, and work with outside vendors when needed.
- Monitor specialized systems, including aeration, gas compression, centrifuge, scrubber, glycol trap, and related equipment.
- Identify practical process improvements, support spill recovery and cleanup, and help maintain a clean and sanitary facility.
- Participate in remote monitoring, on-call coverage, and after-hours response when corrective action is required.

What You Bring
- A high school diploma or GED, plus related wastewater treatment experience or training; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- A current Massachusetts Class V Wastewater Treatment License.
- The ability to obtain a license to operate a boiler.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to environmental compliance and workplace safety.
- The ability to work independently on third shift while collaborating effectively with Maintenance, Operations, vendors, and regulatory partners.
